DestinationMAP (formerly METROPOLL) is a comprehensive syndicated study of the North American meeting market, conducted among a cross section of major meeting site decision makers. The study is particularly useful in establishing benchmarks and developing marketing and strategic plans designed to attract large conferences and conventions.
METROPOLL I, a benchmark version of this study, was initiated in 1983. METROPOLL XIV was fielded in the spring of 2011.
Custom-tailored confidential reports are available on a subscription basis to convention bureaus, convention centers and other organizations engaged in the marketing of national and international meetings. Two volumes of information are released to subscribers. Volume I examines the site selection process and the factors underlying this process. Volume II focuses on the market position, evaluation and image of each subscribing destination and site.
